Health & Safety

Your safety is our top priority. Please follow these important safety guidelines while in our studio:

  • Always follow the instructor's guidance when using tools such as secateurs, scissors, and wire cutters.
  • Wear appropriate clothing for a floristry workshop—comfortable attire that you don't mind getting slightly damp or marked.
  • We recommend closed-toe shoes for protection against accidental drops.
  • Inform our team of any allergies or medical conditions that might be relevant before the workshop begins.
  • In case of injury, however minor, please notify a staff member immediately.
  • Be mindful of water spills and clean up immediately to prevent slipping hazards.
  • Know the location of emergency exits, first aid kit, and fire extinguishers—these will be pointed out at the beginning of each workshop.
  • The studio is a non-smoking environment. A designated smoking area is available outside the building.

Workshop Etiquette

To ensure all participants enjoy their experience and can focus on developing their skills:

  • Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the scheduled start time to settle in and prepare.
  • Turn mobile phones to silent mode during instruction periods. You're welcome to take photos of your work, but please be mindful of other participants' concentration.
  • Listen carefully to instructions and demonstrations before beginning your own work.
  • Share materials and workspace considerately with other participants.
  • Respect the creative process of others—different styles and approaches are what make floristry so diverse and interesting.
  • Questions are encouraged! If you're unsure about anything, please ask rather than proceeding with uncertainty.
  • Be mindful of conversations and maintain a positive, supportive atmosphere for everyone.

Materials & Equipment

We provide high-quality materials and professional tools for your use during workshops:

  • All tools provided by the studio must remain on the premises. Please return them to their designated places after use.
  • Handle flowers and foliage with care to prevent unnecessary damage or waste.
  • Materials provided are calculated for each participant to complete the intended project. Please check with your instructor before taking additional materials.
  • Clean your workspace and tools regularly during the workshop to maintain a safe and pleasant environment.
  • Flower waste and green waste should be placed in the designated compost bins.
  • Water buckets should be emptied in the appropriate sinks, not in plant pots or gardens.
  • If any equipment appears damaged or faulty, please inform a staff member immediately.

Studio Facilities

Our studio is designed to be a comfortable and functional space for learning and creativity:

  • Bathroom facilities are located at the rear of the studio.
  • A small kitchen area is available for refreshments. Please clean any cups or utensils you use.
  • Personal belongings can be stored in the designated area, though we recommend not bringing valuables. The studio cannot be held responsible for personal items.
  • Parking is available in the marked spaces outside. Please do not park in spaces reserved for other businesses.
  • The temperature in the studio is maintained to preserve flower freshness. You may wish to bring an extra layer if you tend to feel cold.
  • WiFi is available for participants—the password will be provided at the beginning of the workshop.

Photography & Social Media

We love seeing and sharing the beautiful creations from our workshops:

  • You are welcome and encouraged to take photos of your own work and the studio environment.
  • Please ask permission before photographing other participants or their work.
  • We may take photographs during workshops for our social media and marketing purposes. Please inform us if you do not wish to be included.
  • We love being tagged in your social media posts! Our handles are @gryndolia on Instagram and Facebook.
